Nice Cool Blues

The third concert in Holliston's Summer Concert series was held on a cool and dry evening.  The music provided by Lights Out was cool too.

There was a hardy crowd on hand to enjoy the music and food offered at Goodwill Park.  Long pants and sweatshirts were seen in abundance as that hot humid air finally departed our area!

Lights Out, 'is a traditional blues quartet formed seven years ago.' The lead singer and harmonica player is Gary Bernath who grew up in Holliston 'many years ago.'  The group has won several awards at regional events and competed in the 2018 International Blues Challlenge in Memphis.

The hottest thing of the evening was the melted cheese that the food truck Melt served up.  Grilled cheese sandwiches, cheesy fries and from our Canadian neighbors - Poutine - were much appreciated on this chilly evening.

It appeared that a good time was had by all in attendance, whether listening to the tunes, playing in the Goodwill Park play area, or playing ball out on the fields.

Once again, thank you to the Park and Rec staff and our host for the evening Mark Frank, Parks and Rec Director.
