June 16, 2019:

Bad news day for Holliston drivers: five of us received citations for various nefarious deeds behind the steering wheel. Begs the question: who gets the ticket when a self-driving vehicle breaks the rules?

June 17:

Suspicious activity, Day; report of a black Toyota Camry parked in front of caller's house on two occasions but drives off when approached.

Animal incident, Highland; small dog named "Buster" on the loose until taken to HPD. ACO notified.

Community interaction, Stoddard; Popsicles with Police.

K 9 training, Senior Center and 201 Summer.

June 18:

Vehicle stop with arrest, Washington & Summer; Lidalia Lopes of Milford on a warrant and operating with suspended license.

Crash, Church & Fruit; Milford versus Holliston. Two taken to hospital and Hometown took both vehicles (the hedge row at this corner forces drivers on Fruit to pull out into Church Street to see if a car is coming. It is especially scary in an old Mini).

Crash, Washington & Marked Tree; Medway versus Hilo, HI. (someone will be late for the luau).

Suspicious activity, Central & Railroad; report of a man wearing a reflective vest sitting on a stone bench next to a brown bag and smoking (what is this world coming to?)

Animal incident, 636 Prentice; car versus deer. Hwy fires up the barbie.

K 9 training, 79 Lowland.

Crash with arrest, 138 Railroad; car versus utility pole. Joseph Garvey of Holliston for OUI-liquor, reckless operation and marked lanes violation.

June 19:

Crash, 815 Washington; car versus dump truck. One to hospital.

June 20:

K 9 training, 79 Lowland and 55 Boynton.

June 21:

Crash, Washington & Highland; Braidenton, FL versus Holliston (someone's going to be late for Flockfest).

June 22:

Disabled vehicle with arrest, 268 Washington; caller reports car broken down on roadside. Victor Hugo Mendez of Framingham arrested on a outstanding warrant.

Vehicle stop with summons, 1670 Washington; Lauro Lima-Suquilandra of Milford. No details but a licensed driver was called to take over.

Trespassing with arrest, Dean; Neythen Ross Yovicsin of Holliston for trespassing.

Suspicious Activity, CVS; report of suspicious person possibly going into the dumpster (one man's trash...)

During the reporting period, 25 citations and 24 warnings were issued. Two erratic drivers were reported and Dispatch logged 332 calls.

BWTM:

It started out as a dumb 911 call:

A woman called saying her cat was stuck in a tree. Then she said "...so my husband climbed up to get the cat and now he's stuck too."
