A Letter from Jackie Dellicker

by Jackie Dellicker
3/14/2019

To the citizens of Holliston:

It is with deep regret that I have submitted my letter of resignation as Moderator to the Board of Selectmen and the Town Clerk.

I have had a continuing eye problem, yet to be resolved, for the past year.

I feel that I can not do justice to the very important role of Moderator and run Town Meeting in the manner that it should be done.

I certainly have enjoyed serving the town over the years in many capacities, Town Clerk and Moderator the most recent.  I am going to miss it and all the challenges that go with it.

Thank you all for giving me the opportunity of serving the town, it has been my pleasure and honor.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline "Jackie" Dellicker

Publishers' Note: After learning of Jackie's resignation, we checked in with the Town Clerk, Liz Greendale, for some background on Jackie and what the procedure is for the upcoming Town Meeting.

Liz was saddened by the news and grateful for the many years of service that Jackie had given to Holliston: Town Clerk from 2000 - 2011; and Moderator from 2016 to present.

As far as the May Town Meeting - when the Moderator is absent for a Town Meeting, a temporary Moderator will be elected at the Town Meeting.
