A Look at the Holiday Stroll

by Mary Greendale

Of course, you need to Stroll, not walk too fast or run,
The traffic and congestion are just part of the fun.
See strollers with babies get their first look-see
At lights and people and a town that's friend-ly. (And that's it for attempts at poetry for me)

This little guy seems to be on a mission - wonder what's in his sight-line.

Seeing a fire truck up close when there is no fire is always a thrill most especially when it carries one Santa man in the back.

Unless I am way off base, this looks like Rusty Varell, former Hollistonian now working with his parents (Matt and Amy) on their alpaca farm in Harvard. Follow them on Facebook to see alpaca birth announcements and photos  -  https://www.facebook.com/harvardalpacaranch/
Just look at those eyes! If you knit, I believe they sell alpaca yarn.

There's a common theme and that is children - whatever the activity, the day is intended to be fun for kids (and adults) and to enjoy holiday activities they might not otherwise get to do. Where are the boys we might ask?

Let's thank the Light Up Holliston Committee and their major sponsors for getting the thousands of lights purchased and hung. I like the lights wrapped around tree trunks.

The local trolley, sponsored in part by HollistonReporter.com is a favorite as it drives folks from one part of town to another. It's also just a good chance to sit down and warm up for a minute or two.

Until 2019!!

What a wonderful tradition this event has become! Many generations of Hollistonians roaming the streets, looking for things to see and do!Toni C
