Free Night -- Dinner & Theater for Senior Residents

by Mary Greendale

Join the Holliston High School Theatre 370 for their dress rehearsal of "Footloose" and the National Honor Society for dinner at the High School.  Dinner begins at 6:30 and the play will start immediately after. Photo is from Richard Rogers stage musical.

Footloose is a musical drama released in 1984 about a rebeliious teen who challenged the law in smalltown Oklahoma. The law banned dancing. As one WikiPedia writer put it, "Footloose's Bomont is loosely based on Elmore City, a town in Oklahoma known for the saying, 'If the South is the Bible belt, then we are the buckle.' Dancing really was outlawed, until the juniors at the local high school asked to allow dancing at their prom."

Please be sure to sign up in advance by calling the Senior Center at (508) 429-0622. Transportation will be available, but you must call the MWRTA least 2 days prior at (508) 820-4650. To repeat, Holliston High School Play & Dinner - FOOTLOOSE - Wednesday, November 14th at 6:30 pm. Free but requires reservations.
