Holliston Public Library has a variety of adult programming to offer during the month of September.  For Ladies Night Out on Monday, September 17 at 6:30 pm, the film The Book Club starring Jane Fonda and Candace Bergen will be shown.  Pizza and salad are included in this humorous screening about ladies who read.  The program is free but please sign up by September 15.

Two foreign language conversation groups have been formed, Spanish on Wednesday, September 19 and French on Thursday, September 20, both at 7 pm.  They are led by Magdelana Berna and Sixtine V. Herold, respectively, both of whom speak fluently.  The groups are designed to give beginning and intermediate learners a place to use and improve their skills as they learn.  The groups do not teach formal lessons.  There is no registration and everyone is welcome.

On Thursday, September 27 at 7 pm, Chef Liz Barbour from the Creative Feast will return for a cooking demonstration using the Instant Pot.  Instant Pot is a modern combination pressure cooker and slow cooker and has become a very popular kitchen device.  The audience will learn how it works and sample the food made in it.  Signup is required by emailing Lmcdonnell@minlib.net or by calling 508-429-0617 and begins Monday, September 10.  The class is limited to 35.  There is no charge.

The History Book Club will discuss March 1917 by William Eglund on Thursday, September 13 at 6:30 pm.  New members are always warmly welcomed at any time.  Readers may contribute their own ideas or sit and listen.  Books are available about a month before the discussions.

The Knitting Club meets the second Tuesday of each month from 6-8 pm.  Participants can drop in to learn to knit, work on projects or ask for help with problems.  No registration required.
