Casey became interested in ANW (American Ninja Warrior) in 2014 when Kacy Catanzaro went viral for being the first woman to complete a qualifier and finals course. She sent in an application through the American Ninja Warrior website. "I sent in a 3 min video with that application (everyone has to) with a series of videos of me doing ninja, pole vaulting and trapeze" Casey said.

"I trained ninja for 7 months before getting on the show. It depends on the obstacle but most I’m able to get within one practice (maybe 1-5 tries ) and others take a few days. I had done a 14' wall in practice but never a 14'6" wall like on the show (which had a shorter run up than I am used to)".

Casey completed the course by scaling the 14.5-foot wall and hitting the buzzer in 4:57seconds.

Will college put her plans for competing in ANW on hold?  "I plan on applying to the show again next year to compete. I am training while at school as well as working at a ninja gym. Throughout the school year there are local competitions so I will be going to those to get ready for next year".
