Holliston Varsity Baseball 2018

On May 24, 2018 the Holliston Varsity baseball team defeated Westwood 10 to 0 to clinch its first opportunity to play in the postseason in 11 years. The last time the varsity team qualified for postseason play was in 2007, when it's present coach Joe Santos played for legendary baseball coach Harvey Krupnick.

Holliston's record in the Tri-Valley League was 6 wins and 9 losses. Their last 4 team victories were against non league teams that filled out their 20 game schedule. Only 10 wins are necessary to qualify for post season
playoffs.

Holliston's one post season game was played at Adams field on June 7th against Falmouth High School, which had the same record as Holliston 10 and 10. There were many fans there for both teams, mostly parents and friends of the players. The final score was of the game was 11 to 4 with Falmouth coming out on top. Holliston had several chances to close the gap in the scoring but could not muster the necessary hits to bring those on base home.
Holliston finished the season with an overall record of 10 and 11. Even though several seniors graduated, prospects for next year look promising. Juniors and spohomors and possibly some freshmen will fill the ranks of those leaving high school for college and other persuits in life.

This team deserves congratulations for their dedication and success in playing America's pastime "Baseball."
