The Holliston Education Foundation (HEF) announced the winners of the 2018 Spotlight on Educators awards this month in a reception held on May 23rd in the Miller School Library.

This year’s recipients of the “Spotlight on Educators” awards are:

Mary Beth Numbers, 2nd grade teacher at Placentino Elementary School
Erin Acker, 3rd grade teacher at Miller Elementary School
Jamie Cutone, 8th grade science teacher at Adams Middle School
Marie Reggio, speech/language specialist at Adams and Placentino schools; and
Kim Buturlia, Spanish teacher at Holliston High School.

“The Holliston Education Foundation Spotlight awards are given in appreciation of the many ways that these wonderful educators foster confidence in our children - not only academically, but also socially by making each child feel valued and special on their journey through life,” said Heidi Schreuder-Gibson, Treasurer of the Holliston Education Foundation.

Teachers and staff nominated their peers in recognition of their commitment to excellence in education. Through their boundless enthusiasm and exceptional efforts to help their students, families and colleagues throughout the school year, these teachers were recognized for their excellence and dedication. Each winner received a commendation and a gift for their classrooms from the Holliston Education Foundation.
