Thanksgiving Meals for Seniors

A big thanks to the Holliston community for supporting our Seniors at Thanksgiving and stepping up to help make Meals for them! This year we will be cooking, assembling and delivering meals to 30+ Seniors in our community. I feel so strongly we need to show our elderly care and respect and community response at the Holidays.

We are still looking for assembly and delivery help on Thanksgiving morning, Assembly will be from 8AM-11AM at the Doyle home at 53 Northway Street in Holliston, and delivery starting at 10AM until complete. We think delivery would entail 4-5 Seniors for each person. Families are welcome as the kids are a huge hit!

A special thanks to the Doyle Family for hosting the assembly at their home, and to all who signed up to make an item, to Jonathan Gerber at the Holiday Dreams Foundation for donating the Turkeys and to Linda Marshall and Marty Schneier from the Holliston Senior Center for helping me organize this!

As a reminder, Turkeys and items for the meals should be dropped off at 53 Northway Street from 5PM-8PM on Wednesday, November 22nd, Also items (other than the Turkeys) can also be dropped off at 562 Winter Street.

We are gladly accepting donations towards paper goods, salad dressing, milk and butter purchases as well. Please contact me – Tracey Geden – at traceybc93@yahoo.com – if you’d like to donate money or items and I can point you to what we need. Any money not used will be donated to the Senior Center and/or the effort to support the Christmas Meals.

Lastly, please keep a watchful eye out as the Holliston Lions will be taking on this wonderful effort for Christmas Meals for our Seniors!

Thanks,

Tracey Geden
