Rememberances began at Blair Square with VFW Past Commander Ralph Stover placing a wreath while American Legion Commander Steve Bradford looks on.

Above left Jim Carbino with Joe Cibotti on the bugle.

Jackie Napolitano looks on as her husband Steve, a Vietnam Veteran, participates. The Napolitano's son Keith was recently promoted to the rank of Lt. Col. in the Air Force.

The Selectmen, Chairman Kevin Conley, above left, Mark Ahronian, and Jay Marsden, led the march up Central Street to the intersection of Washington and Hollis Street.

Kris Westland is followed by her husband Pete as Alan Greendale takes up the rear.

A wreath was placed in front of the memorial at the corner of Washington and Hollis Streets, which is dedicated to those Holliston residents lost in WWI & WWII.

At Town Hall Selectman Jay Marsden, below,  read a speech originally spoken by David Mccullough 1776.

Representing WW II were Bob Hopkins, left, and Vasco Brovelli.

WW II and Korean veterans next stood on Town Hall stairs.

Veterans of Vietnam next entered the group.

Then veterans from all the remaining wars and conflicts involving the US assembeled, including Afganastan and Iraq.

The Holliston Lion's Club helped with the serving and clean-up while sponsoring a third of the day's expenses.

The real joy of the day is the time veterans get to share old stories with those who have had similar experiences. TJ's of Ashland provided a turkey dinner.

Both Chairman Kevin Conley of the Board of Selectmen and Rep. Carolyn Dykema addressed the veterans prior to the Knights of Colombus making several donations.

After the Knights made their presentation, the VFW, who were celebrating their 70th Anniversary, provided the entertainment in form form of a WBZ personality Mel Gibson.

The Leos on break in the pictures above and below, provided help with serving.
