The staff at Holliston Cable Access Television recently teamed up with a group of Holliston High School juniors who are current members of the Holliston Leos Club and Louise Kirkpatrick who is the Holliston Leos Club advisor. Some of the Leos are currently learning the art of video production. The Club recently had an opportunity to visit the world renowned Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Vision Rehabilitation Specialist Dr. Kevin Houston gave us an up close and personal look at the latest assistive devices designed to maximize the eyesight of individuals with impaired vision.

The goal of the Leo Club is to produce a short video which will include an interview with Dr. Houston and will show other Leo Club members trying out some of the devices. The Club video recorded, interviewed and are editing the project with guidance from HCAT Production Manager & Outreach Coordinator Don Cronin. The completed program will be on HCAT soon. Check the program schedule www.hcattv.org

The Holliston Leos Club are the high school version of the Lions Club. A major part of the Lions Club’s mission is to provide funding to Mass Lions Eye Research. Leo Clubs are young people who serve as positive agents of change within their communities. Young leaders develop valuable leadership skills, make new friends and have fun.
