The Holliston Public Library is offering an array of programs for adults this fall. 
Framingham author Erica Ferencik will discuss her novel, The River at Night. The book follows the journey of four friends as they fight to survive the aftermath of a white water rafting accident. Erica will tell us how she researched the Allagash Territory of Northern Maine where the book is set. Copies of the book are available to borrow with a valid library card.
Movie Mondays will show Flags of Our Fathers on Sept 27. All films are free.
On Thursday, September 28, Kerri Miller will present a program on aromatherapy, the practice of using natural oils from plants to enhance well-being. Participants will create three sprays to take home. There is a $5 charge due at the program and registration is required beginning September 14. The group is limited to 20 participants. The Holliston Public Library will present Feasting on Soups with Liz Barbour on Tuesday, October 17 at 7 pm. Liz will show participants how to use one basic recipe to make multiple soups perfect for autumn. The program is free, open to all but registration is required beginning September 29. The program is limited to 35 and cooking demonstrations fill quickly. Call 508-429-0617 or email Lmcdonnell@minlib.net.
Movie Mondays will show The Space Between Us on Monday, October 16 at 12:30 pm.
The film is free and popcorn is provided. The Morning Book Club will discuss Yaa Gyasi’s novel Homegoing on Monday, October 2 at 11 am and the History Book Club will discuss His Final Battle by Joseph Lelyveld about the last years of Franklin Roosevelt on Tuesday, October 19 at 6:30 pm. New members are always welcome at both groups and books are available to borrow about one month ahead of discussions.
On Saturday, November 4 at 7 pm, Hungrytown, a folk duo from Vermont will perform classic songs and original compositions. Hungrytown has traveled all over the world and has three albums to its credit. The concert is free and open to all on the main floor of the library. The Friends of the Library who pay for all library programming will sell refreshments at intermission.
