The Pitt Men's Glee Club of the University of Pittsburg visited St. Mary's Church in Holliston as one of the five sites of their spring tour. A great program was presented with first class professionalism beautiful and rich voices sung with emotion, all from memory.

The Glee Club under the leadership of Richard Teaster presented a program of over 20 assorted songs of tradition, including traditional American, German and Irish tunes like Bound for the Promised Land, Du,Du Liegst Mir Im Herzen and  Bonny Wood Green.

The Glee Club was founded in 1890 and is the oldest non-athletic extra curricula organization on campus. They have performed throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. In October this year they have been invited to perform at the Waregem Flanders Fields Commemorative Weekend, commemorating the 100th battle in Flanders Field. They will be the only American choir at this event. They were also selected to sing with the guest choir series at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.

Alumni of the University of Pittsburg were invited to join the choir in closing numbers. Five alumni were present in the audience and were pleased to join them.

At the conclusion of the well attended concert, the audience gave them a well deserved standing ovation.

All were invited to a reception following the concert to socialize and meet with members of the choir.

Daniel Yates of Medway, a sophomore at the University and 2nd tenor in the choir was happy to perform at St. Mary's and meet with Holliston friends.  Dan is a former member of the St. Mary's Folk Group and graduated from Medway High School, Class of 2015 where he was the Valedictorian of his class.

Welcome back to home grounds.
