by Representative Carolyn Dykema

Dear Neighbor,

Carolyn Dykema Email Header

I'm grateful to begin my fifth term representing you and the 8th Middlesex District. The 190th legislative session officially began on January 4th, when I took the oath of office alongside my fellow legislators, and I am excited to have the chance to continue advocating for the issues and priorities that are most important to you and all of my constituents.

As the session begins, I expect the legislature to tackle issues of criminal justice reform, smart and sustainable economic development, and administration of the new law relative to recreational marijuana use. In the coming months, the Governor and both chambers of the legislature will begin work on the FY18 budget, working to balance fiscal constraints with an ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of the Commonwealth. I will personally continue to advocate for legislative priorities including veterans services, environmental protection, and investment in infrastructure.

During each legislative session, I am fortunate to receive input on many issues from hundreds of my constituents and I encourage you to contact my office at carolyn.dykema@mahouse.gov or (617) 722-2680 with any questions or concerns you might have. Political participation does not begin and end at the polls, and I hope to hear from you as we work together to ensure prosperity for the Commonwealth and its residents.

Warmly,

Rep. Carolyn Dykema Signature

I remember, years ago, the first time I saw you speak. It was at town meeting concerning the possibility of getting a sewer system in Htown. My wife and I were so very impressed with your intellect, public speaking ability, sincerity and passion on the issue. I recall my wife saying, "Wow, she is REALLY good. She is going to be something some day." Holliston has been fortunate to have you, as well as Paul Loscocco, your predecessor, another absolute class act. Thank you, we are glad you are our representative! I wish all of our public leaders displayed the class, dignity and professionalism that you and Paul always do/did.
