36th Annual Harvest Fair, Holliston Historical Society,

Soon autumn will be upon us and we will be enjoying cooler days, crisp evenings, leaves turning pretty colors, hopefully more rain, and that traditional old fashioned country Harvest Fair! It is once again hosted by the Holliston Historical Society on the lovely grounds of the Asa Whiting House and historic barn at 547 Washington Street, Holliston,
This highly anticipated annual event has been receiving vendor applications since last winter and the variety this year is exceptional. There is literally, “something for everyone.” There are gourmet foods such as hot sauces, beef jerky, honey, jams, jellies, cannoli, candy, fudge and those are just some of the vendors! In the barn, there will be a delicious lunch for purchase, (the menu is being planned now by our creative chef!) A bake table and our famous, apple pies will be available for purchase also.
There will be antiques and collectables along our Antiques’ Row section, colored pencil drawings, cards, oil paintings of Holliston, signs, wine glasses, mugs, wind chimes, bird houses, bat houses, (!!??) home décor, jewelry, scarves, knitted hats, felt mittens, sweaters, baby items, fabric handbags, hand crafted furniture……….. the list goes on.
What’s a country fair without farm animals? We’ve got P.J. Kilkelly’s farm animals to attend our fair and children will enjoy the bouncy house and perhaps have their faces painted.
The Asa Whiting House will be open from 11:30am until 3:30pm. Exhibits will include the 18th century kitchen, new displays and the second floor library will be staffed and accessible.

Bird houses, furniture, jewelry, cosmetics, cannolis, fresh ground coffee beans, candles, china cups converted to serving dishes, jams and jellies, home made signs, clothing, quilts, original wooden baseball bats, and on and on.
