The Economic Development Committee met Thursday morning for a brief update on a few issues. At the top of the agenda was picking a new logo for the committee. The group voted on fifteen different logos before deciding on the one below. The committee also began planning an open house/reception for September. The exact date and location are not finalized, but the event is open to all members of the community, both residents and businesses alike. Finally, the committee discussed the progress of the planned stoplight project for the downtown area. As of now, it is estimated that construction should begin in September of next year.

Below are listed some of the new businesses that have opened this month according to the committee:

  • Clever Bride Consignments (410 Washington St.)

  • Beacon Hill Restoration (74 Summer St.)

  • Inspired Dance Academy (18 Water St.)
