HOLLISTON RECEIVES $5,000 LOSS CONTROL GRANT
Jeff Ritter, Town Administrator, announced that the Town of Holliston has been awarded a $5,000 loss control grant from the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA). The insurance company provides property and casualty insurance to the Town of Holliston.
According to Ritter, “the grant was used to purchase to an emergency response utility trailer that would be available to all municipal departments as part of the Town’s overall emergency response strategy to provide the highest level of emergency management to its citizen.” Ritter thanked Fire Chief Cassidy, Department of Public Works Director Sean Reese, and Administrative Assistant Andrea Minihan for working closely together to secure this grant. The trailer came equipped with traffic control barrier equipment, to facilitate road closures or detours following natural or made-made disasters.
The Board of Selectmen formally accepted the receipt of the trailer at a recent meeting.
