A couple of former Holliston residents are preparing for the holidays with some exciting news.

Peter Alderman, formerly of Baker Street, has recently published his third book, “The ABC’s of Health”.   Endorsed by doctors, it introduces children to healthy eating habits.  It joins his other books, “Soccer Counts” and “The Rocket’s Red Glare” in bookstores and online seller lists.  “The Rocket’s Red Glare” includes a CD featuring Nashville recording star JoDee Messina, also a former Holliston Resident.

Jed Heuer graduated from Holliston High School in 2000, The Pratt Institute in 2004, and is now the Art Director at Wieden & Kennedy in New York.   He was intimately involved with the creation of commercials for ESPN related to the coming College Football Playoffs.

As Jed relates, “The goal of this ESPN commercial was to get people to watch the College Football Playoff semifinals, which are on New Year’s Eve this year. We wanted to make a spot that captured the attention of sports fans, while connecting College Football with New Year’s Eve.  So we took the traditional tune of Auld Lang Syne and rewrote the lyrics with a fun, college football spin. Then we shot the whole thing in a New Year's Eve party setting with Jimmy Kimmel, along with a whole group of athletes, singers and college team mascots.”
