This holiday season, one local resident is providing an opportunity to spread good cheer among friends and neighbors, all for a wonderful cause. For a suggested donation of $30, a group of holiday carolers will visit the location of your choice, sing a collection of holiday songs, and deliver two dozen delicious homemade cookies, along with a holiday card that delivers your message. Visits can be scheduled for the following dates and times: Saturday, December 5, 4:30-7:30, Sunday, December 6, 4:30-7:30 and Sunday, December 13, 4:30-7:30. Visits will be made every half hour, on the half hour, to locations within Holliston. Special arrangements can be made upon request.

This fundraiser is coordinated by Holliston resident Barbara Daly, who is running the 2016 Boston Marathon as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. As part of the team, she has committed to raise $10,820 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

All proceeds will benefit the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since taking its first steps in 1990, the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge has raised more than $74 million, resulting in improved survival rates and quality of life for cancer patients everywhere. The largest charity group in the Boston Marathon, the 2016 DFMC team aims to raise $5.4 million in pursuit of the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
