I doubt you will anyone who respects teachers more than i do. I could not walk in their shows as they possess skills I do not. The cutting of the teaching position to Part Time was a rational one, based on attendance. My point was it is irrational to bring the purchasing of tasters into the education discussion. I just thought it was silly for someone to say that they have to choose between their kid getting a good education or a jolt of electricity. The schools (and thus teachers) are the reason we moved to and still live in Holliston.

John... .there is never need to be nasty.... a teacher is a teacher no matter how many students they teach.. . Iam sure they do other things within the school system and if 4 kids are signed up it is 4 who can be taught and reached and helped.. . shame on you! I dare you to walk in a teachers shoes for one day... .tough job....

Great point Joe. I don't want my kid getting shot or run over either, so perhaps the police could sell their weapons and cars and we could get that teacher back to full time to teach the 4 kids who actually signed up for the class

It would be nice to have an election in this town with more than a 3% voter turnout. Voter apathy may not be a virus...but it's sure spreading like one.

Joe... while I appreciate your support of the schools, and your stand against Tasers, I don't think we're helping anyone's cause by comparing the budget changes in police vs school departments by saying you're trading your education for a "jolt of electricity". While we all like to think "golly gee, this is just like Mayberry", it isn't, and sometimes the police need invest in alternative and newer methods. We all seemed to be on board when we got a patrol K9, and while he's a great asset, he's not a friendly, pet the dog, cute cuddly police dog.

An important year to attend meeting folks! Andrew's School sale in on the Warrant. Also, the Police Department wants to shell out $32,000 to purchese tasers, only months after we cut a teacher from full-time to part-time. If you want a say in how your town is run (and maybe you'd rather your child get a good education vs. a good volt of electricity) attend meeting and make your voice heard.
