WINGS at St. Mary's
For the past sixteen years the WINGS (Women in God’s Spirit) ministry has provided a wonderful opportunity for women to deepen their relationship with God, by gathering to study God’s Word, pray and share with one another. Our theme this year is “Transforming our Lives through God’s Mercy”; and begins this Wednesday, September 23rd when our speaker will be Catholic Radio Host Allison Gingras who will discuss “The Peace of Forgiveness.”
Women of all ages and from all parishes are welcome. We have grown to have women from 12 surrounding towns become members so feel free to invite a friend to join you at one of our meetings. You may attend every week or just when your schedule allows. WINGS meets during the school year on Wednesday mornings from 9:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in Fr. Haley Hall. Nurturing childcare is available. September 23rd: The Peace of Forgiveness
Allison Gingras, Catholic radio host, writer, inspirational speaker, and founder of Reconciled to You ministries, will speak to us on forgiveness, which is the heart of the Gospel and in the core of Jesus’ mission on earth. No one is immune to the struggle of forgiveness; every life is faced with feelings of anger, bitterness or betrayal. Through the examples of the saints and Scripture, and the grace of the Sacraments, our Catholic faith teaches us how to seek the peace of forgiveness.
