Medical Marijuana
In January of 2013 the law entitled, “An Act for the Humanitarian Medical Use of Marijuana” went into effect. This law, under certain circumstances, allows for the cultivation and possession of what would be considered a criminal amount of marijuana, without sanction, by properly qualified and credentialed patients and caregivers. This law, in its present state, provides little guidance to law enforcement officials who may encounter persons that claim, legitimately or not, that they are covered under the law.
At the Holliston Police Department we have stayed abreast of this law and the nuances attributable to it, and we would devote this discussion to how we have developed policies and procedures specific to this mandate from the State.

i have worked a lot with the state of Colorado over the last few years. One of the biggest issues is that the business is all cash. Banks fall under federal rules and won't work with the businesses.
