Fin Com- Survey Comments
Here are a few of the 23 comments. These reflect the themes and tones of responses.
“We are one of only a few communities in the Commonwealth with an elected FinCom. Time to catch up with the rest of the state in our governance model...”
“I'm afraid this will create a kitchen cabinet of sorts between the Selectmen and Fin Comm. They're separate elected bodies for the reason. Let's not turn our back's on the principles of democracy.”
“If the committee is to be appointed it should not be governed by one person. There should be at least 3 people involved to insure some level of transparency.”
“I think voters should get to decide who is spending their money. I do not have ideas for how to get more people to run, though.”

Pizza survey comments
One respondent added Anthony’s on the Green – thanks! We missed that.
There were lots of nice comments about the customer service at Bazel’s.
Someone asked this…
Q. Why is this a question? These surveys, while a potentially good source of information, lack significant context. How will this information be used? Why is it even being asked?
This was just for fun and to see if people were interested in less pressing questions.
The more serious questions are to get people engaged. To share thinking in a quick way since there are so few opportunities to gather and talk about important issues.
Q. How will HR use the results?
A. Post them. That’s it. Or if we read something that suggests a new story or line of inquiry, we’ll pursue it. The surveys really are just to share opinions.
