The Department of Public Works will be flushing Fire Hydrants
BEGINNING WEEK OF APRIL 27, 2015
During the of hours of 11:00pm to 3:00pm
Continuing for 4 - 6 weeks
Flushing is necessary to improve water quality and
Ensure proper hydrant operation

We attempt to schedule flushing in a manner that minimizes customer disruptions.
Some discoloration/sediment may be noticed as hydrants are flushed in your neighborhood.
If you experience discolored water, run your cold tap until it clears. During periods of discoloration, postpone washing clothes and limit your use of hot water until the cold water clears.
Interesting!! Flushing has not started yet, but yesterday (Apr 22) my water on Howard St was soooo dark brown - again !! Thank goodness my wash was already done !!
