The caucus will meet on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 am in the Selectmen’s Room (Room 105) at Town Hall, 703 Washington Street. Registration starts at 9:45 am, and the doors will close promptly at 10:15 am. The caucus is open to the public and press, but only Holliston registered Democrats (as of January 31, 2015) are eligible to participate in the voting. Delegates must be present at the caucus to be elected (except persons serving in the U.S. Armed Forces).

The Holliston Democratic Town Committee (DTC) will vote to elect eight delegates and three alternate delegates to represent them at the convention. The DTC chair attends ex officio. Those not elected as a delegate or alternate and who meet the qualifications can apply to be an add-on delegate in the following categories: youth, minority or disabled.

Holliston DTC Chair Megan O’Brien said, “Becoming a delegate is a great way for people to participate on issues they care about.” She went on to encourage all Holliston Democrats to consider participating in next month’s caucus.

This year’s convention will take place Saturday, September 19th at the MassMutual Center, 1277 Main Street, Springfield, MA.
