Holliston Garden Club at the Boston Flower and Garden Show
This year members of the Holliston Garden Club were once again involved in the Boston Flower and Garden Show at the World Trade Center in Boston, March 11th to 15th. Designers from the Club participated in Division 1, the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts Show, and Division 2, the Open Division, sponsored by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, and won ribbons ranging from First Place to Honorable Mention but, most important, they had fun.
Several members also served on the two committees that make the floral design show possible. Joan Butler, Chairman of Division 1 and Jill Malcolm, Chairman of Division 2, put in many months of work to prepare for this popular show. Several members of the Club worked with Joan and Jill on the committees. They painted staging, ran the computers, assisted designers as they arrived at the show at 5:30am, helping to make the show a success. Each year the event draws crowds of people anxious to experience a touch of spring after a long winter and this year was no exception.
