A brand new senior housing community, which will bring independent, assisted and memory care living to local seniors, is well underway at 369 Pond Street in Ashland.  Scheduled to open in the fall of this year, The Residence at Valley Farm will have 80 apartments, and a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom dwellings.  In addition, the community will feature a Reflections Memory Care wing for residents with early-stage memory issues.

Residents at the community will enjoy a broad range of services and amenities, including gourmet, restaurant-style dining, rich program of cultural, educational, recreational events, entertainment, and a variety of activities both within the community and in the greater region.  The residence will also include a variety of common areas, including living rooms, a library, computer room, private dining, cafes and other spaces.  The landscaped grounds will include walking paths for residents, sitting areas, gardens and other amenities.

Carolyn Smith who is the community’s Executive Director, said: “It’s very exciting to see how quickly the building is coming along.  We’ve had a tremendous reception from area seniors who are looking forward to their new apartments here in town, and we’re looking forward to a dynamic community that offers our residents the finest quality of life.”
