Patrons and staff of the Holliston Public Library are mourning the loss of a beloved and dedicated librarian. Frances “Fran” Hollister passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

Fran was an elementary and middle school teacher in Marlborough for 37 years before joining the staff of the Holliston Public Library nine years ago. While she spent the majority of her time in the Children’s Room, she was a familiar and welcoming face at both the Adult and Children’s Desks. Patrons of all ages will miss her friendly smile, helpfulness, and graciousness.

The Library Director, Staff, and Board of Trustees of the Holliston Public Library will always be grateful for Fran’s many valuable contributions to our library through the years, as well as her kindness to all.
